Fotos Frangoudes is a Research Associate at RISE Research Center as a member of the Smart, Ubiquitous, and Participatory Technologies for Healthcare Innovation group and the Immersive Technologies for Intelligent and Creative Applications group. He holds a MS in Computer Science with a focus on Game Development from the University of Southern California and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus. His work focuses on the development of interactive media, mainly for use in healthcare and education fields, and the exploration of interactions in different mediums such as VR and AR. He has participated, and been a lead engineer, in several multidisciplinary projects, collaborating with healthcare professionals, educators, musicians, dancers, artists, journalists, etc. Projects he has participated in have been showcased at ACM SIGGRAPH, HCI International, Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, South by Southwest, the World Economic Forum and Victoria and Albert Museum in London among others.
