Panayiotis Kyriakou is currently a Research Associate at CCAPPS MRG and “Museum Lab” group at RISE. He has recently finished his doctorate studies in the Digital Heritage program at The Cyprus Institute. He has earned his BSc and MSc at the Computer Engineering and Informatics department of the University of Patras. His research interests include user experience in Virtual and Augmented Reality, in relation with museum education and cultural heritage. He has participated in a number of research programs during the last 11 years, staring at the Research & Academic Computer Technology Institute, in Patras – Greece (2007-2008) as a Research Associate at European Project Palette, then at the Open University of Cyprus (2009-2012), at AgriRobot and REVIT, and later at The Cyprus Institute (2012-today), at V-Must, Gravitate, EMAP and CARARE. Panayiotis has also created Mirror 3D Lab, a company which offers high quality 3D scanning services of simple objects and artifacts, as well as 3D scanning of people and faces, design and development of virtual and augmented reality applications, creation of game assets and game development
